Terms and Conditions

General Information

Our cottage is a former one-room schoolhouse that closed in 1967. The photographs of the King and Queen on site are authentic and have been preserved to maintain the charm and history of the place.

The cottage is also our secondary residence. We have two dogs who accompany us during our stays.

For sanitary purposes, the sheets, duvets, and towels used by the owners are different from those reserved for guests.

Some cupboards are reserved for the owners.

General Conditions

Maximum occupancy: 4 people at all times.

Check-in: from 2:00 p.m.

Check-out: before 2:00 p.m.

Rules

Please do not use glass containers in the hot tub. Plastic cups are provided for this purpose.

Close the hot tub cover (without locking it) when not in use.

Please respect the neighborhood: no music after 10:00 p.m.

Please turn off the hot tub and structure lights before leaving.

You will experience a former one-room schoolhouse: there is no dishwasher. Please wash your dishes by hand.

There is no kitchen hood. Please use the portable fan near the stove when cooking.

Please use the compost and recycling bins and keep waste to a minimum.

Parties or events are not permitted.

Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage.

Equipment and Inclusions

Kitchen

The cottage includes a Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine and a Bodum coffee maker.

Complete dishware and utensils for 6 people.

BBQ

Pots, pans, colander, salad spinner, knives, cooking utensils, and oven-safe dishes are provided.

Wine glasses and regular glassware are available indoors.

Plastic cups are provided for outdoor use and the hot tub.

Kitchen essentials are included: salt, pepper, spices, olive oil, sugar, butter, condiments, parchment paper, and aluminum foil. You may also use anything available in the refrigerator. Please do not use the items in the bottom drawer of the freezer.

Bell Fibe cable television

Streaming services (Netflix, Prime, Disney+, Tou.TV, Crave, Spotify, etc.) accessible using the Bell remote.

A Bluetooth speaker

Board games, cards, dice

Indoor Fireplace and air conditioning unit

Firewood is provided.

A supply of wood will be available in the bin upon your arrival.

If you need more, you may take some from the shed.

Heating and air conditioning is provided by a heat pump.

Liability

Use of the cottage, hot tub, and fire pit is at the users' own risk.

The cottage is located in the countryside. There may be mosquitoes, black flies, ticks, bees, and other insects, as well as wild animals.

The owners cannot be held responsible for accidents, loss or theft, or events beyond their control.

Security and Surveillance

For transparency and security, three exterior surveillance cameras are installed: one on each side of the house and one at the front door.

There are no cameras inside the cottage.

Payment, Rates and Cancellation

Payment by Interac e-transfer only.

Full payment is required at the time of booking.

All-inclusive rates: no hidden fees, no cleaning fee, and no taxes.

1 to 3 nights: $225/night for 2 people or $250/night for 4 people.

4 nights or more: $200/night for 2 people or $225/night for 4 people.

Cancellation: full refund up to 30 days before arrival.

50% refund up to 15 days before arrival.

No refund less than 15 days before arrival. However, it may be possible to reschedule the stay to another date, subject to availability.
